Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy SSC Officer 2024 

Executive Branch

General Service/ Hydro Cadre: The total number of vacancies is 40 and apply only male candidates. The candidate must complete BE/B. Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and the age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 July 2003.

Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre(NAIC): The total number of vacancies is 6 and male, and female candidates can apply for the post. The candidate should complete BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Mechanical/ Mechanical with Automation/ Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Micro Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electronics and Tele Communication/ Instrument and Control/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Application or postgraduate degree in Electronics/ Physics and score 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class X and class XII. The candidate’s age is 02 January 1998 to 01 July 2003.

Air Traffic Controller(ATC): The total vacancies are 06 and both male and female candidates can apply for the post. The candidate must complete BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. The age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002.

Observer: There are a total of 08 vacancies available and only men can apply for the post. The candidate must complete BE/B. Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks and age limit is 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2004.

Pilot: There are 15 vacancies and only men can apply for the post. The candidate must complete BE, B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. The age limit is 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2004.

Logistics: There are 18 vacancies available and only men can apply for the post. The candidate must complete BE/B. Tech in any discipline with first class or MBA with first class, or B.SC/B.com, B.SC(IT) with first class along with PG Diploma in Finance/ Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, or MCA/ M.SC(IT) with first class. The age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 July 2003.

Education Branch

There are 12 vacancies to apply for the post. The age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002

Technical Branch

Engineering Branch(General Service): There are 15 vacancies available and the age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 July 2003.

Electrical Branch(General Service): There are 30 vacancies available and the age limit is 02 January 1998 to 01 July 2003.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting of applications will be based on the preference of entries and normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalized using formulae.

BE/B.Tech candidates who have completed or are in the final year of BE/B. Tech marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.

Non-Engineering degree candidates who have completed MCA, MBA, MA, M.Sc, B.Sc, and B.Com marks obtained in all semesters will be considered.

Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks by sending an email to the address.

No communication will be entertained in this regard.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for the SSB interview through email or SMS. Candidates are advised not to change their email or mobile number till the selection process is over.

Medical Examination

SSB-recommended candidates are required to undergo a medical exam as applicable to their entry. Candidates of Pilot entry are required to undergo a computerized Pilot Selection System(CPSS) followed by Aviation medical examination.

Merit List

The merit list will be prepared separately for extended NOC based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination would be appointed as per the availability of vacancies in the respective course.
